While for many years people seemed to scoff at Sony’s plans on expanding the Spider-verse, those scoffs seem to have been turned to more of a “wait and see” attitude on the part of the fans, partially due to the commercial success of the non-Spidy Venom and the critical and box office success (not to mention the fact it’s an Academy Award winner) animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Now we’ve got Venom: Let Their Be Carnage on the way, with Tom Hardy reprising his role of the title character, and Morbius, the Living Vampire, starring Jared Leto supposedly hitting theatres in 2022 following several Covid-related delays.
